Katherine Lyons is a Master Teaching Artist for the Wolf Trap Foundation For the Performing Arts, conducting workshops and residencies for pre-school teachers and children throughout the Maryland/Virginia/ DC area. Her professional development workshops, “Math Detectives-Where’s The Math? Using Drama to Discover the Math Hidden in Books,” and “Baby Books, Toddler Tales: The Story Experience,” have been presented for educators across the US.
Katherine tours regionally with her interactive story dramas and performs a one-woman show on Immigration for the Jewish Museum of Maryland and the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Her assembly program, Transformation Imagination, and workshop/residency, The Drama of Metamorphosis, are presented through Young Audiences of Maryland and The Maryland State Arts Council.
Katherine has a B.A. in Creative Arts from the University of Virginia and studied Creative Arts Education at San Francisco State University.
